So what you're saying is that homosexual people should just write homosexual pornography and heterosexual people should just write heterosexual pornography? Then can homosexual people write heterosexual pornography? Then, is that a form of disrespectful fetishization of heterosexual individuals?   2 reply

Yep, I think you bring up some very good points. I find it inherently kind of disrespectful to meddle in a community and write every fetishized portrayals of it. However, i do think homosexual content produced by straight people aren’t always for fetishization and can be handled in a respectful manner. a lot of yaoi manga isn’t that way, and it......   3 reply

You don't have to be lbgtq+ to respectfully depict a gay/lesbian relationship. You might not be able to grasp every aspect of it but that's exactly the same thing when you are writing about anything else you......   1 reply

Well, maybe we should extend the argument that straight females can't write straight porn with males in them because they aren't male as that is cultural appropriation too. Vice versa. Jokes aside:(many females are pissed at porn aimed at guys for this very reason in IRL so...) this is honestly more of an issue for the whole porn community and ......   1 reply

i wrote this super long thing but i said screw it. in short, yes they should. anyone should be allowed to read, write, create, and consume any sort of media. but is it good if they do it? yes and no. it is important to depict and portray the lgbtq+ community as normal and real people, not just a random, fictional thing to get off to. but pornograp......   reply
