reading bl is so exhausting for a number of reasons (at least for me) and yes it is not a representation of the community itself so it's honestly fucking disgusting when some would equate it to reality. it's also horrifying that individuals who are self-proclaimed homophobic would admit with their whole chest that they fetishize gay men and it makes me sick. plus the underlying misogynistic theme of a lot of bl titles
I definitely get frustrated by how bisexuality doesn't seem to exist in most BL work and for the ones that do it's represented by a very sexual character in the manga with low morals or a crap personality that borderlines on them being the antagonist. However there are plenty of good BL that I feel can represent the LGBT community in some small way...... reply
