Do you hold onto things even if that person left?

It depends. If it’s something I like I don’t care who it came from, I don’t really associate the item with the person. I have some plushies I got from friends I no longer keep in touch, old letters (they’re cringey/funny in retrospect), pictures (when people went to take pictures and gave you a copy).   reply

If I it has sentimental value, like something handmade, or a letter, yes If it's something I could use or simply something I really really like, hell nah I'm keeping that, it's mine now Like jewelry, or a figurine, I even have a photo of my ex gf on prom, but it's bc I think it's a really cute photo, nothing more nothing less   reply

yea i try to keep as much as i can. they're my memories even if that person was toxic. i like to think about whatever good times we had and remind myself of why we dont go back. the gifts i keep if they still serve me purpose   reply
