I don't know korean too accurately but i tried my best
The guy speaking in the vid, is basically the head for digital comics and then explained what newtoki and booktoki do, how it harms creators. Then said that an investigation was launched to find the operator of the site but they couldn't go through the investigation further as they were unsure the suspect they found was actually the operator. So like basically the operator of newtoki for now, is still on the run. That was what he last heard of the investigation.
It meant that for now all the investigation against illegal site has been halted. Because the government sucks lol cause they gave up on investigating further. He criticised the government. Then said how because the investigation is slow, authors experience more pain and asked the audience to be aware basically.
Then said they had a meeting and now the investigation has resumed again and is trying harder to take down these illegal sites.
They can dream big, I guess. If people still barely can pay for their food and shelter, piracy will always exist. Maybe the government and companies should start paying people better or make shit cheaper if they want to get rid of piracy. piracy existed for 30+ years and it's still going strong no matter how many people they threw into jails. reply
This literally means that most of sites we use including mangago is cooked. They reached out to better agency to investigate and now that newtoki and booktoki is gone, bato aswell soon since some ppl have reported to like the site working not properly. reply
piracy is always going to exist idk what theyre thinking of just getting rid of the big ones as if people arent gonna flock to the next sites and create much more smaller and sneakier methods of privacy like
they dont even be treating their creators that be making all their money for them well either 1 reply
A long time ago I used another website that was similar to this one, and suddenly all series were taken off, but the site was still up.
I guess if it eventually come through that they pull off the series, it’ll just remain as a social media site and we’ll just migrate to another site for actual reading. reply
