I'm going to college for the first time and I need advice :) pls
I'm a Humms student planning to take a business major idk I think HR, even though I'm BADDDDD like BADDDDDDD at math, I just really need advice how to survive 4 years
For the 1st year of your college be as extrovert as you can be. Forget that you are shy, awkward or socially uncomfortable. just for the 1st year fake your personality to mimic the most extrovert person you know. Build your image as friendly outgoing person and try to befriend varieties of people. Having wide range of connections really save my as...... 3 reply
Hi! I’m in my second year and also a business major, hehe. Goodluckkkkk! All these comments are really helpful. I’ll probably just repeat the same things.
Be as extroverted as you can in your first year. Girl, I’m introverted asf with social anxiety, but in order to survive in this life, connections are important in terms of friendship, acad...... 3 reply
Stay focused, ask for help (from professors or classmates) when needed, know and use your college resources (your tuition pays for them, don't waste precious money), try to get involved with student activities (so you get connections), and stay out of people's business. The main thing is to keep a high employee motivation and satisfaction cuz that's good for comp...... 1 reply
You’ll likely do better than you think. A lot of people enter business programs believing they’re terrible at math, but the truth is that most majors, especially HR, rely far more on communication, organization, and understanding people than on complex calculations. The numbers you’ll encounter are usually basic business math or simple statis...... 1 reply
Not a humanities student but i'd say- just look people u know in the eye and greet them with a hi Or smile or nod, whatever form u think is appropriate. I nod to proffs or greet with a good morning, for friendly seniors n friends a smile or hi, n for not so close ones, I don't greet if they're not the social kind. For ones I'm fond of but we're not...... 1 reply
It's okay to ask for help and repeat what the professor said btw I'm on my third year and I almost failed many times but that's okay you have to survive in the next semester. You don't need to aim for cum laude or wtv you literally just have to survive. Don't be sad if your other cm is Dean's Lister or anything, don't let that hold you back. Also I...... 1 reply
