Solo Leveling unpopular opinion (apparently)
The only reason ppl say solo leveling is overrated is because after solo leveling came out and was gaining popularity 50 other manhwas with the same concept of systems, hunters, etc started coming out more and more and made it seem like solo leveling was like every other bitch when really it was probably the blueprint for most manhwas including ur favorite one. not to say there probably wasn’t any other manhwas like solo leveling when it first came out but it definitely gained the most popularity and other manhwa authors definitely saw the potential and made similar stories now making solo leveling seem like it got all the hype for no reason when you can basically say solo leveling was the “original” (not LITERALLY but u get the idea) for manhwas with the same concept. #staywoke (also for reference solo leveling was first released, according to the mangago, November 6 2018..)

Heard all the solo leveling hype everywhere a good few years ago and was kind of sick of it tbh, and just by the synopsis alone, I didn't think it would be all that.
I didn't want to hate on smthn out loud without actually consuming the content tho, so I went straight to the novel.

it's def not the best, and people calming it is are dead wrong, but like someone else said it's like marvel(and everyone loves to clown it for good reason). it's just cool enough and super easy to get into, which is prob why it's so popular, just some filler

Maybe it’s the blue print for a mediocre storyline and with aesthetically pleasing animation …LMFAO Let’s not act like solo leveling has any intense depth surrounding 5 supporting characters that are basically powerless 24/7 and just stand around waiting for some nonchalant mundane in character design looking queer. 1 reply
solo leveling has a special place in my heart. It was one of the first action fantasy manhwas I read that got me hooked, but I'm not ashamed to admit it that it is indeed mid, the beginning was crazy and I got hooked on the first chapter and was always waiting for the next one to come out but towards the end you can tell the author was rushing it, ...... reply
As a fan of solo leveling, I guess no one here read it as much as I do, I re-read it whenever I lost interest in reading. And I'd say it's really is mid. Compare to other stories like ORV and TBATE and TGED and alot more. It lacks emotions, except excitement whenever he won or beat someone, well I guess that's the thing about too powerful for your ...... 1 reply
I did love Solo Leveling when I started reading it. It was still ongoing at that time. My hype for it ended after the Jeju Island arc though. I just didn't like it after that. I tried picking it up again and again but I dropped it every time. It took me two years after it was completed to finally finish the whole thing. I couldn't even read through...... reply
