Do you guys really ship people in real life?
After reading that post about fujoshis, I can't stop thinking about it. I mean the girl contradicted herself a lot and all of that, but some answers had me appalled like what???
Do you guys really think is healthy shipping celebs/idols?
I answered someone why I think is very problematic, giving this example:
Is a big problem because fans don't know how to stop their obsession with shipping, take One Direction for an example, Harry and Louis were (and still are) shipped a lot, to the point that when they had girlfriends their shippers would attack the girl everywhere, on the social media and in real life, when Louis had a child, they would theorize that is was a fake kid and all of that, those shippers ruined their friendship a lot, yes they are friends but it's just not the same thing. With kpop idols is the absolute same, yes they are selling a character, but the character doesn't include a bf/gf, this shipping thing comes straight from the fans heads and they delude themselves with their own illusion, so yes, shipping celebs is a big problem because they are REAL, shipping can and will destroy their relationships and friendships, all because of some fans who can't separate wishful thinking from reality.
Also: is not really the idol that is selling a character, is their entertainment company which means they are forced to sell this character and sell all those fanservice 'bromance' y'all like to see, do you guys still think is a healthy thing?
Honestly, I have ramble about how unnatural shipping kpop idols/celebs. They came to the music industry to make music, not for people to be fetishizing shipping them with another male or making gay shipping imaginations. Please don't go ahead and think its alright to ship two straight males together. reply
i do ship irl people, i cant really help it. but i keep it to myself unlike those who literally ask them if they're in a relationship with the other person they ship them with. in my opinion, its fine, as long as youre not problematic and make them uncomfortable. reply
No I think its disrespectful and very uncomfortable when people do that especially when that person isnt gay, and forcing it on them. This is what bts stans have been doing for years and I always thought it was not ok and weird. Someone even got a tattoo of a jungkook and taehyung ship...yikes reply
Honestly I don't mind if people shipped me with other people or if someone shipped other people together in real life, but I, myself, don't ship. I find people who are able to casually do it, a little bit strange because I never found myself doing it. Like I would ship 2D characters but no real, breathing human being. I find it uncomfortable to do ...... 1 reply
I ship people in real life. I think their interaction is cute so I like seeing they interact with each other. But I don't get in their way if my ship didn't happen tough. reply
When i was 12, yes. But now, no. I can understand unintentionally thinking, oh those two look good together. But making some inappropriate jerk off material out of it and sharing it publicly is not okay. For example, that Louis x Harry thing. Theres this fanfiction scene in the film "Euphoria" (i dont know anything about this film btw) about Larry....... 1 reply
No one around me, like friends, acquaintances... Unless a friend starts the whole 'oh do you ship us?' (her and her bf/crush) then I have to say yes. I'm obviously lying at these.
I kinda have a rule not to ship real life people even celebrities since I would find it beyond uncomfortable if that happened to me, and it sadly did. I do break this ru...... 1 reply
