female characters being treated differently than male ones
i read a lot of apocalypse manwha and stuff, and one thing that always lowkey pisses me off is female characters wearing shorts shorts(or really jst shorts) or tank tops(way less egregious imo)
cuz like all the guy characters are wearing actual protective/ battle ready clothes and armor, then the female character is just wearing shorts, and a regular outfit??? like come on
the subtle misogyny in things, once you notice smth you can never stop(￣∇￣")
it's so frustrating to see character designs for female characters hampered by the "make it sexy" directive, especially since "sexy" only ever seems to come in one variety (maybe two if you're lucky).

of course! it happens far too often and it doesnt even stop there. i read loads of action manhwa and i see girls/women get belittled or get called a bitch, useless (etc etc but you get my point) by losers in the comment section.
like theyre supposed to survive too but, theyre being used for male audience material. thats it. :( 1 reply
