Why are people on here so mean lately
People are genuinely weird, tell me why I got called a parasocial r slur for making a half satire post where all I did was copy paste a Jeff Buckley song as a goodbye to me_for_president someone i interacted with and knew for almost two years, like sure ill miss them but it's a fucking copy paste song, not that deep, it's a on going joke I have everytime someone i follow deletes their account, if you don't think it's funny okay but just maybe don't call me slurs? People are literally tweaking out in the comments like nobody is forcing you to reply or interact you can just....ignore the post?
You can see this on the internet regularly and this site is no exception. It's mostly bored people that need to vent their frustrations onto something/someone. Ironically it's sometimes even a projection of their own character. Someone calling "parasocial" for a joke that is meant for another person and not them? Why are they butting into some else...... 1 reply
This might sound like a crazy take, but if you look at the first comment or reply in any comment section (mgg, tiktok, instagram or whatever name), it usually ends up summarizing the entire thread.
Example of this is that me for president thread

The forums just have a handful of standout users who actively engage on this site -- the majority are anons who cannot be bothered and just lurk. They'd double down over making any big deal about some user like it's some close community to gaf over reply
I can't speak for people calling others slurs willy nilly but I think some people saw the bit as performative and felt like they should call it out ig. Pretty standard for mggo users to delete their accounts and lurk with their alt accounts, either for sympathy points or something else. Idk mggo forums being toxic isn't anything new. I know this is 1 day old post. But every time an active user deletes their account, this happens. I think dropping slurs is going too far; however, you guys, and I will try to put this in the nicest way possible, when a random user deletes their account, you won't care, but since it's your friend, you drop questions like this to ask for people to c...... reply
