What's your opinion on filial piety
I'm aware it isn't called filial piety all over the world so let's put it this way and say what's your opinion on obligatory "respect and honour" to your parents? As someone who's parents constantly use that as an excuse for everything, even trying to force me into a career as a "gift" to them so they can gain respect , I despise it cause its so hard to refuse, if I do I get the disowned treatment , and I wonder what are other people's notions on it Ofcourse it isn't a necessarily bad thing in most cases but just didn't play out well in mine
As a person with a deadbeat dad and a very hurtful mother I just don't fucking care about what they think my country is heavy on filial piety but I genuinely js don't gaf, they're expecting me to become a doctor but nah bro I'd rather be unemployed roaming the streets. They wanna love me if I give them honor, so what's the fuckin point if that's a...... reply
