Having a sister-complex or brother-complex.
Why can’t siblings just be normal?
Also age-gap siblings. Like characters can’t be only children because then at some point they’ll get a much younger sibling. In general I’m not a fan of pregnancy as a plot point. reply
Racist/colorist: stereotypes and darker skin being associated with bad
Sexist: women being automatically a problem in BL or being sidelined in action
Romanticized mental health issues: glamorized depression or minimizing PTSD

i hate hate HATE when the story starts off as a childhood friends story or later on it turns out that they were forgotten childhood friends all along.. often its just lazy writing that tries to overcome the lack of chemistry or dimensionality of the characters 1 reply
I read both yaoi and hetero stuff so these things ruin it a lot - ridiculous size differences, adults (25+) looking like 12 year olds dating children (15+) looking like 30 year olds, women with massive boobs and hips but super small waist, also really hate love triangles and amnesia. Dude my list could go on and on. reply
When villains join the “good” side and get absolutely nerfed.
Strong independent woman who fall in love with a man and now he’s their entire personality and shes extremely weak.
