does a bad artstyle deter you?
I was reminiscing on old manhwas that I read, particularly early Wind breaker (the webtoon) and Lookism, too. I had an epiphany like "damn, I really did not have standards back then" tbf the plot drew me in and i was somehow able to overlook the...peculiar artstyles. but now its kind of hard for me to ignore art in favour of the plot. im probably missing out on some banger stories.
Good and bad deters me. The visuals is the whole reason I’m reading the comic/graphic novel and not the novel, so if the art is bad it could be distracting from the story or ruin the whole thing. If the art is too good I'm assuming it wont last long and will crash and burn with the rest of the plot such as many isekai and time reverse stories. reply
