The One Manga/Hwa/Hua You Consider a Masterpiece
Can only be one. The one. That one story that you come back to every time cuz there's nothing else that can capture you like it did.
My masterpiece: "Freesia".
"Freesia" is a psychological dystopian seinen manga by Jiro Matsumoto. I've read it four times and ready to go for a fifth. The story captures me every time, it's gruesome and compelling in the best way, more so than some of the top titles in the seinen genre. I would not recommend it to people who are young or who struggle with violent imagery, which there is alot of.
(Content warning for those interested: rape/ SA and abuse, blood and gore, war, sexual imagery and nudity, mental trauma).

This is all I could think of from the top of my head. As I was thinking about it, I realized none of my favorite stories are necessarily what I would consider a masterpiece unless we’re evaluating strictly from enjoyment and maybe creativity. reply
This is a hard question, but the only series I’ve gone back and reread completely (I usually just go back and reread my favorite parts), has been The Beast must die, so I’ll say this one is it.

I’d say Pet Shop of Horrors is honestly a masterpiece. I love how each story feels simple at first but ends up being really deep and unsettling. The whole concept with the pets and their rules is so unique, and the way people’s own desires end up being their downfall is just so well done. Count D is also such an interesting character he’s not...... 1 reply

For a story that I considered a masterpiece is Honto Yajuu and Worse Guy in the Universe.
I loved when manwha or manga, stories that doesn't take itself serious 1 reply
It's bl manhwa "reunion" for me. Plot wise it's not "masterpiece worthy" but it's how it was written, the pacing and the artist portrayal of the scene. What made me liked it so much was the atmosphere and animation. It didn't feel like I was reading a manhwa it felt like watching real people. 1 reply
