I think it’s a preference. Some people don’t like the label of bisexual because it implies a dichotomy of gender, while pansexual is considered by some to be a more inclusive term. Transphobia exists within the LGBTQ community so someone can be bi and rather than say they are not attracted, they can not subscribe to trans or nonbinary identitie......   reply

nonbinary ppl exist and a whole lot of identities outside of the binary framework... u should talk more to well-informed older queers in the community (in ur case pans and bis). they'd help u. i find fb lgbtqia+ groups helpful but make sure to search up a decent one. or better yet, a local lgbtqia+ community if u have one. you can also visit the lg......   reply

I think the confusion comes from the fact that most people who identify as bi are actually pan by definition. Because technically bi people shouldn’t be attracted to anyone outside the gender binary, but pan people do. Pansexual is actually a term that falls under the bisexual umbrella.
