I don’t think being bisexual and pansexual different at all
I answered a question a few days ago it was a hot take question or whatever on here and I just answered randomly whatever was on top of my head that I don’t think being bisexual and pansexual is different at all. I don’t think there’s any thing different between the two sexualities in fact, I think they’re the same thing but just with different names. and this is coming from someone who is bisexual cause listen hear me out.
Being pansexual means you like everyone that’s literally the simplest way to explain it being bisexual also means you like everyone, but for some reason people like to just say it means you like guys and girls like you guys do realize that means the same thing as someone who is bisexual, I have found guys girls trans and non-binary people, attractive, and I would date all of those people that I just named
I never really thought too deeply about it because if a different label for the same thing makes you feel more comfortable. Go ahead, do your thing, but then some people answered to my response and kind of made me realize that pansexual was kind of just created because of a stereotype on bisexual people that for some reason we can’t find trans or non-binary people attractive, or that were more straight than gay which is literally the stupidest stereotype I have ever realized to come upon, which is also ironic because there’s also another stereotype that bisexual people like trans people more that it’s a fetish or something like excuse me why do people love putting stereotypes on bisexual people?
At the end of the day, it all comes to preferences no bisexual/pansexual person preference is the same. Someone can like girls more someone can like guys more and yes, some people can like trans people more but at the end of the day, it’s the same thing. Is it not? Like if someone answered this question and said well then you’re basically pansexual. I would not argue with that because I don’t see a difference between bisexual and pansexual. I just prefer to go by bisexual and it would be the same thing if I decided to go by pansexual, I would not care if someone decided to call me bisexual. Also, I am not saying that pansexual people don’t go through the same thing because I have also came across very stupid stereotypes that pansexual people will go for anyone or that they’re too free/easy I think that’s a very stupid stereotype. Can we all just stop with the stereotypes?
I think it’s a preference. Some people don’t like the label of bisexual because it implies a dichotomy of gender, while pansexual is considered by some to be a more inclusive term. Transphobia exists within the LGBTQ community so someone can be bi and rather than say they are not attracted, they can not subscribe to trans or nonbinary identitie...... reply
