2 of our cats are strictly indoor-only. the other 4 are allowed outside during the morning when it’s not blazing hot, they don't stray away too far but they still need to be supervised. the other 2 can’t be let out because they’d sprint tf away the moment they get outside ive been telling my mom to get cat leashes for months but she keeps forgetting.
I want my cat to live for a long time, so no. Outdoor cats usually die earlier. Also, cats have absolutely devastating effects on ecosystems because they’re one of the most efficient hunters + they have an unusually sadistic prey drive. If I had a rodent problem or a farm or something then sure I’d have an outdoor cat. But not just for no reaso...... reply
