2 of our cats are strictly indoor-only. the other 4 are allowed outside during the morning when it’s not blazing hot, they don't stray away too far but they still need to be supervised. the other 2 can’t be let out because they’d sprint tf away the moment they get outside ive been telling my mom to get cat leashes for months but she keeps forgetting.
I have two strictly indoor cats. My orange boy used to be indoor/outdoor. I found him as a stray, and he initially refused to be stuck inside. He had claimed the whole neighborhood as his territory, and he wasn't about to be imprisoned. However, he was getting older. He started to lose fights and came home with injuries more frequently.
