A tiny trope in manhwa/manhua/manga that annoys you?
For me it would be any romance story where the mc or love interest are never depicted hanging out with friends. Like, yes there are definitely people who just don't have friends, but its (in my opinion) not very healthy to have your only important relationship be your partner. Also, if they don't have friends, I feel like it should at least be mentioned or have an impact on the character/their descriptions, instead of just completely omitting any mention or visual cue of a character having relationships outside of the romantic story premise.
Curious as to what irks other people in stories that might have js gone completely over my head.
Not sure if a trope but an annoying part of writing a story ig......when some big confession or explanation or apology is going to be said by a character and BZZZZ phone rings, (gotta take that call) or some side character bursts in and stops convo or one character won't listen and just runs away.......I guess it is all to drag out the story?? when a character has "dressed up" and their partner is starry eyed and going gaga over them but all they did was put on a white button down shirt tucked into black pants and nondescript dress shoes and maaayyybe slicked back their hair. and you could say the over-the-top reaction is warranted because the character doesn't usually dress well and is ...... 1 reply
It's kind of annoying when the angst in a bl or literally any romance work is distancing themselves for the wellbeing of the other person because they're popular and they don't want their reputation ruined for being with a "loser" but man I can never take those kind of conflicts seriously 1 reply
When one of the characters have someone sick or dying to give them lore to theirs history, like damn the character is already a poor omega with lots of debts and have someone dying in the hospital and the seme its just abusive and- give them a break! Give them a hobby or favorite color just calm down, i feel bad for them lol 1 reply
