Being Locked Up
Is it just me or are some things are just too normalized in BL? Like for example, being locked up. Like that common trope where the bottom is about to leave the top for whatever reason and they get locked up by the Top… like I feel like this is just completely unacceptable because it’s simply psychotic behaviour. Like just imagine you want to leave a relationship and then your partner says NO and then locks you up in their basement and then later you forgive them….
Most BL has pure offensive shit masquerading as love. Like irrational possessiveness treated as cute Bonafide lover behaviour as if it doesn't scream patriarchal mentality of ownership. Sane people break up due to such behaviour but I strongly suspect most BL authors are just as intelligent and experienced as the token readers in this genre. Like f...... reply
