Being Locked Up
Is it just me or are some things are just too normalized in BL? Like for example, being locked up. Like that common trope where the bottom is about to leave the top for whatever reason and they get locked up by the Top… like I feel like this is just completely unacceptable because it’s simply psychotic behaviour. Like just imagine you want to leave a relationship and then your partner says NO and then locks you up in their basement and then later you forgive them….
I think people like it because its basically an extreme way to say that the Love Interest definitely absolutely with certainty only has eyes for MC. That kind of plot is considered romantic/fun if the Love interest attractive. Or if the reader itself likes the Love interest.
In my personal opinion, it lowkey gets boring reading it like, let bro ou...... reply
