Being Locked Up
Is it just me or are some things are just too normalized in BL? Like for example, being locked up. Like that common trope where the bottom is about to leave the top for whatever reason and they get locked up by the Top… like I feel like this is just completely unacceptable because it’s simply psychotic behaviour. Like just imagine you want to leave a relationship and then your partner says NO and then locks you up in their basement and then later you forgive them….
As someone who has fantasized about and engaged with media with many a scenario like this (most of which were player/reader POV,) it’s hot because it’s not real and because I can close my laptop when I decide it’s not fun anymore. Plus, there’s an element of dark satisfaction that someone could be so attracted to someone that they’d aband...... 3 reply
