I'm sorry, I've been rereading the summer hikaru died and it's so obvious the father is gay and everytime people in the fandom talk about it it's all "poor him" "doomed yaoi with hikarus dad" but what about the woman being deceived? What about the woman giving HER body to bring children into the world with a man who is LYING to her. Im sorry but if you're a grown man you have to either decide to stay single or cut off your family and go live your gay man life leave women alone. Obviously I feel sympathy for them but c'mon even if you don't wanna come out just stay single.

i don’t think it’s that easy though. if you take Brokeback Mountain as an example, ennis has internalized homophobia, which makes it impossible for him to settle down with jack and have a real proper relationship.

You're soo right with the last part of your statement, nobody's literally going to witchhunt you for staying single 'cause you're queer and you don't wanna get married to a straight.
