Would you still like something if it's made by someone problematic? The work you like has nothing problematic in it but the author is gen the most toxic person you've come across Answer me properly....ok? Don't make jokes...ok?
This reminds me of the movie "Flash". Critics were so freaking biased, they kept talking crap about a perfectly fine movie, just because Ezra Miller was problematic and controversial at the time. It's the media I'm consuming not the author. But of course I will think about what the author did in the back of my mind. Well, it also depends on what toxic thing the author did? If it's cheating, sa and pdf, then no, I won't read their work. But if it's tax evasion, I'll still read it. As long as they don't cross my moral compass. reply

uhhhh idk mixed feelings but generally i would try to seperate art from the artists then ultimatlely just get turned off by the series since i will get flashbacks of what problematic thing the author did and just never touch the series again reply
I think it differs from case to case, you can't look at every work made by a problematic artist with the same eye
I usually finish the media before reading about the author so by time I finish a show/story I've already grew connected to it and if then I find the author problematic I feel awful about liking the show but I can't stop liking it entir...... reply
