Thoughts on religion?
This might not get srs responses but i was js curious of other ppls perspectives, i personally am slowly losing belief in my religion just because i think the only reason religion has grown to be a thing now is cus mpst of them was made in the olden days when nothing was rlly clear so now if someone were to spread those ideas or smth they'd be looked at funny, so what are your thoughts?( ̄∇ ̄")
Every major religion in the world is exploitative. Especially of women and children. It's good to have faith and hope, people need it in their lives especially in this dreary world. But often times, even now— it's used to ostracize and suppress those who wish for freedom. Because in the eyes of God in those old rotting books, only men are deservi...... 2 reply
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with having faith in a higher power, but icl, I don’t understand it. A lot of the bad experiences Ive had have been caused by religious people so I might have a bias against it, but it just doesn’t really make sense to me. how can you spend your time worrying about your god(s) instead of reality? of cour...... reply
I have mixed feelings towards it but I try and stay neutral because it has caused fights with certain friends, one time I tried voicing my opinion on Christianity and it turned into a 4v1. My true opinion about it though; every religion is a bunch of bullshit, there are no exceptions. 1 reply

The problem here that religion often is just used as a weapon and an excuse to ridicule others and isolate them from a...... 1 reply
Why u bringing up the thing I'm trynna have nothing to do with to my safe space????????
Jk but not really. Its done many things I'll give it that. It soothes people, hurts them. It starts wars, inspires peace. It motivates inventions but also hinders progress. I doubt we have anything with more duality. All that said, it's mid. reply
It used to be a way for humans to understand the unexplainable of nature, in that sense I found it fascinating. The way so many different cultures interpreted nature and how they humanized it to make sense of it. Its also kinda terrifying tho, bc in history it always ended up with people harming others in the name of religion (sacrifices specifical...... 2 reply
I find it bizarre that, in today’s world, despite widespread access to education, so many people still cling to beliefs that predate the medieval era. It’s wild that people hold on to the same beliefs as an illiterate medieval European peasant who also believed in dragons and werewolves.
Sure, it made sense that in ancient times, before the sc...... reply
