Underrated / underutilized trope?
What's a trope that you never see in media anymore / ever?
For me it's not as much of a trope as much it's representation but I really like stories that explore the mental side of internalized homophobia and / or self deprecation but I could never find stories with them,,

I crave mother daughter stories like it’s so extremely rare. i see it only rlly from one author, but the use of emotions other than love and hate to develop the relationship between the main characters.

Glasses.
At least a proper representation of the glasses wearing experience. They’re either treated a a fashion accessory or as a way to hide, but hardly do I ever see glasses portrayed as important for vision.
And when they are used for a character that genuinely needs them, they exaggerate them. Like if they don’t have glasses they’re bum...... 2 reply

In an apocalyptic story, zombie apocalypse specifically, so sometimes there're zombie apocalypse where animals are also infected, insects included. I've noticed they never mention ants, not once have I read hordes of ants, the best I got was mosquitoes and cockroaches.
