Japanese BL definitely, they're basically the progenitor of BL, the yaoi was a term from Japan as well. In terms of storyline, trends and tropes, Japanese. Chinese BL kinda have a repetitive trope, KR bl mostly smut. So yeah, Japanese BL. But I'm a danmei/manhua girlie so Chinese BL is my fave.
