I prefer mangas tbh. I don't like how most manhwas drag their plot for too long and most of the time it doesn’t even contribute anything to character development. I do like some manhwas and manhua but most of the stuff I read are still mangas   reply

Japanese bls tbh. Their plots and tropes are unique. Their art is very good too. Their only weakness is the ending often rushed bc we all know they published manga by volumes and they usually only had like 3 volumes max. Kr bls has their gems but they often follow the popular trends. For example suddenly most of manhwa ukes is a twink who is drown ......   reply

DEFINITELY manga. Some manhwas can be outstanding (no more eurydice for example), but it's like a one in a decade chance. Mangas are so much open and much more creative when it comes to their world building. Manga wins in storyline sometimes, I think I've read more gut wrenching stories with manga and they do it in under 50 chapters too sometimes. The art style also unique but I prefer manhwa in terms of newer stuff tbh, I think manga tends to be old fashioned sometimes. Manhua is cool with comedy lol.   1 reply

Personally, manga has more diverse storylines of bls and Chinese manhua’s are close 2nd because of top tier danmeis and tragedies. Korean manwha has amazing bls too but the ones that get popular are pornslops   reply

For artstyle, body proportions and unique plot, I prefer manga For the something easy in the eye and a plot that's more relatable, it's manhwa Manhua for me it hit or miss, but I generally avoid them   reply

Whenever someone asks "Japanese, Korean, or Chinese BL", I hope people realize that Japanese BL has existed for far longer than Korean or Chinese. It's just unfair to compare the three.   3 reply

Japanese BL all the way there is variety & better stories but sadly since manga is mostly paper format we hardly get any access unless there is a digital version ... korean manhwa is fully digital & easily floods all these sites .. plus since its colorful it catches attention ..but its repetitive & plots get dragged for several chaps for no reason......   1 reply
