I just got done watching it for the first time and I'm so unsettled I want to vomit. Anyone else felt this way?
I'm never thinking of those liminal spaces, the 3008 Roblox game, one of my favorite games to play, the same way again. Like at first I thought the infiniti-ness of the game, and the liminal spaces was enchanting, and like surviving in it was a fun and exciting thing, but now after the movie, I'm just very unsettled. I think the most unsettling for me is the idea it recreates people who have gone in there. It's made me rethink finding fun in the idea of being in those liminal spaces and trying to survive or traverse through them, if it then makes a weird entity/replica of me. I don't like or want that. Euuuggghhhh, makes my skin crawl.
honestly yeah it was pretty unsettling but it was great, was kinda expecting levelslop. I felt kinda grossed out in the dinner scene when Clark js grabbed that drywall shi from the bearded entity and started eating it also imagine you’re js here reading manhwa peacefully while some dudes in the backrooms are running from an entity or still life that looks like you
I thought, whiles watching that dinner scene where Clark rips out that entity's stomach for food, that I could just view it as a soul less creation that the backrooms made so it's no big deal though I'm initially disgusted too, but getting to the end knowing it really does make replicas of real people who have gone in, and seeing it happen to the main character, and knowing that bearded guy would've been a real person too, I want to vomit and cry...
I would feel so violated if there was a still life replica of me, adhering to the rules of a space that is unnatural and outside my understanding of existence, like both those things especially the former shouldn't exist.
