Too disconnected with the way humans make things, for example food, a lot humans are now disconnected with the making of food, growing it, picking it, hunting it. When we think of where to get food with don't think of a forest or field but a supermarket. So do you guys think more people should reconnect with that? So instead of protecting our right to have a supermarket we protect our right to have nature? Let me know I'm interested in this
tbh as someone thats lived on a farm and had family live on the kind of farm where its like your animals and your garden and you handle it all yourself, people don't love it. It's really hard work and even then you can't do it all yourself, even then you only live in any comfort by sharing stuff w like ur neighbours.

Totally agreee and we are so disconnected and distant from communities that we would rather have this status quo instead of fostering genuine relationships. I think it's also because capitalism numbs us from what other humans are going through because we are also suffering its consequences…we are too busy trying to survive. reply

humans have always been materialistic and adopt things that bring that most ease and comfort. if that wasnt true then humans would stuck to being "animalistic" and simple. but weve always wanted more. the cultures we always fought hard to protect arent completely natural, the things we built, the jewlery weve made, the farming/agricultral practises...... reply
Well yeah, but supermarket is still helpful for many like ppl with disabilities. Government should indeed put more money into agriculture than nuke bombs or more military power or their pockets. *cough* . I think it's more local markets should exists, where you get the food directly from the farmers because farmers in this day and age is not earnin...... reply
Hmmm "fighting to maintain comfort of capitalism" feels off. I mean, yes, everyone likes and pursues comfort to some level, and comfort is good to an extent. But it's an overly simplified reason.
I think what millionaires and leadership level systems have done a good job with eroding society using capitalism is magnifying disparity and privilege...... reply
You have a point, but think of this: would everyone in this day and age have the guts to care for the animals' health and well-being just to slaughter them for their family's food?
