curious has anyone else dropped something bc of commenters?
i love comments too much not to look at them but wow some of the comment sections (on here and other sites btw) is such a shit show it puts me off reading the manhwa. bc wdym you're debating whether that's rape or not TT like ik what i'm reading and i'm never ever going to sugar coat it but to see something that's obvi rape and ppl state that it's not is so wild to me.
also the comments are for ppl to leave their opinion so idk why it's so frowned upon for ppl to call out rape or full on shit on the ml rapist? it confuses me bc yeah i am reading it but i also understand why ppl would want to shit on this? like let them? you want to simp over him and others want to shit on him. calling out the rape is always better than those excusing it imo but there's always this overwhelming wave of ppl in the comments acting as if the former is worse than the latter.
and btw saying that's not rape (when it very fucking obviously is) is not an opinion but a lack of education. that's not the 'opinion' i'm talking about bc it is not an opinion it's just factually wrong.
anyway to answer my own q yes i've dropped shit not bc of the manhwa itself but bc of the comments :( and it's only when the majority of the comments are insufferable </3
Yes, some fandoms are so insufferable it ruins the entire experience for me because they either water down serious topics and make jokes all the time, or they have 0 media literacy. Nope i haven't, I dont let others opinions or stupidity influence me, like I need to see it for myself how shit or good it is for the comment section to behave like that. If it's good I continue reading it, if its trash I drop it. It's as simple as that for me reply
i haven't. i will drop a story if i find it boring/not my cup of tea since insufferable comments for me are just bunch of yapping i can easily ignore. after all, it's the story that matters. i meann, i got thru wetsand and toying with daddy, i think i can handle anything reply
I just usually do not care about the comments and go about my own business, because again, everyone is entitled to their own opinion. If a work im interested in is generally filled with bad responses, I try to still read and judge it myself. Because I still find some works to be good even though it's mostly hated or find some works bad even though ...... reply
I like reading comments. I use them to gauge the story, especially if it’s an omegaverse.
So yes, I have dropped stories or have not started stories due to the comments.
I avoid mpreg and stories involving kids/childcare like a plague, so if the comments mention that there is a kid or there is a possibility, I will immediately drop it if I’m a...... reply
No.I only read the comments after finishing the story, and I rarely hate on any manga I read. So, most people's opinions are sometimes the opposite of mine. Still, its fun to read them. You get new perspectives and missing details or connections you overlooked.And that said, it can be a bit painful when you finish a story thinking it was really goo...... reply
