how can someone be actively gay but remains catholic?
I'm just confused. I mean, sure, not all Catholics follow every teaching of the Church (contraceptives, masturbation, premarital sex, divorce) but I think being gay and those examples are different. Those are behaviors or acts, whereas being gay is your identity.
Don't you think it's a massive contradiction? They are basically saying it's wrong to act on your natural inclination. I don't personally understand how LGBT Catholics can stand by the Church and wait for it to change, especially when there are other denominations that are much more inclusive.
I'm a bisexual Catholic, though I don't really practice my religion. (let's be honest at all) Religion (especially Catholicism) plays a huge part in my culture. I still pray for the well-being of my family, but I don't push my beliefs onto anyone or even tell people I'm Catholic.
