“Peak” manhwa
I used to call every mid to mid trash BL “revolutionary” and slap a 5/5 on it. Looking back now? Solid 2s, most of them. That’s exactly why I don’t trust anyone who calls a yaoi “peak”, half these people will call anything peak.
Sad ending ≠ peak. Angst ≠ amazing writing. And “psychological” doesn’t mean peak either, half the time it just means there’s a bunch of rape in it and people mistake trauma dumping for depth.
So, genuine question: what’s a BL you rated 5 stars back in the day that you’d rate way lower now? And what actually changed, the story, or just you? (It doesn’t necessarily have to be a BL I just used it as an example.)
It's a manga, not a manhwa, but "Whispering You a Love Song" was one of the biggest GLs disappointments in my fucking life oh my lord.
I loved the first few arcs and the couples so much, BUT THEN THE FUCKASS AUTHOR DECIDED TO ADD A FUCKING INCESTUOUS ARC. It focuses on one of the supporting cast's sister called Miki who gets heart-broken when her...... reply
