Write what interests you.
I feel like a lot of the time now when it comes to fanfic we go in and tell people how they should write or what they should write. We'll say things like that cringy wattpad story that a thirteen year old made and point to it as a bad example. Then, we point to the things we like and then claim that's what's good.

There's one thing you should do no matter what: keep practicing, keep writing even only 1or 2 sentences a day. Slowly but sure your work gonna become better with time and you can develop your own style. Also if you had specific scenes suddenly pop up in your mind, write that down. Doesn't matter if that scene is in the middle or the end of the stor...... reply

lol I had one in my head for 5 years before I had to write to get it out.
For me, I need to see the story play out from start to finish. If I know I can bring it to an end, I can spend ages wasting time thinking about the betweens. Stuff just works out sometimes when you experience the simplest of things. Or read a lot of wikipedia. Or tv tropes. reply
