Hello again everyone so as you might know of this year the list for everyone’s list (sime or maybe all) got deleted right?? Well am share my side of the story and how it made me depressed for 2 months. Ok call me obsessed or addicted to yaoi but idc. I woke up and checked my phone and went in chrome to see if my notifications were active and when i entered the website i was like wtf where’s my list and I was panicking but after telling a friend about it since he is apart of the manga go community he said it should come back after a few weeks so I trusted him since he’s been here since 2016 I believe. And as the days and weeks went by I got my read back and I was waiting and waiting and waiting for days for my list to come back and I was wondering if it was gonna come back so I told ,y friend again and he said yea the ones you rated or made a comment about stay the rest are gone and after I heared this I was sad and became depressed for 2 months since my list was gone. Like all of my hard work from 4 years just gone. So I became depressed and accepted fate and since others were worried about me and I couldn’t tell them I lost my yaoi list over a bug I had to lie and say a baby cat got ran over infront of me and I was so heartbroken by it that I became depressed and stopped trying in school. Like all of this happened in my 2 semester in school so it was obvious and I couldn’t tell my friends since they didn’t know too much yaoi so I was just there struggling over my list being gone. But after 2 mit sh passed I was like let me add the yaoi I remember so I did and now everything is back to normal hopefully. Anyways how was your reactions when the shutdown happened and heared the list that weren’t commented, or rated on disappear??? Like bro this was troublesome for me
Bro if losing your yaoi collection genuinely affected you so severely that you were depressed for two months, it started affecting your mood at school and you felt the need to lie about witnessing a baby cat being run over to explain it, then honestly it might be worth talking to some professional.
I mean being upset and devastated over losing so...... 4 reply
You sound as though you really put in the work to read a lot of stories here, so I understand that it may have felt devastating at the time, and I’m sorry to hear that you struggled with it so deeply.
I mean this with kindness and the intention to be helpful; I sincerely recommend finding other hobbies in your life. You don’t have to stop readi...... 1 reply
Just to reply to the main question i felt resignation and a sense of loss. Like a "fuck it" feeling, frustrated yet empty, and I'm not new to it since I don't properly store files and have lost way too many things that are more important (like damn losing my whole professional media porfolio? devastating). Also at that point in time I also thought ...... reply
I have been reading manwhas/mangas/manhuas every once in a while, like reading a casual book for entertainment but to be affected that much by losing fetishized gay porn written by perverted women who find it hot but don't understand the troubles of discrimination against REAL homosexual men to the point you compare it to a baby cat being run over ...... reply
In my country, the guidelines say that if you have symptoms of depression that have lasted for at least two weeks, it can be a sign of depression. You said this lasted for two months, and if it genuinely affected your mood and school life for that long, then I think that’s serious and shouldn’t just be dismissed.
I’m diagnosed with depressi...... reply
thankfully i didn’t lose my lists, i didn’t lose anything, but i woudlve cried for weeks if i did. i put so much work in finding gems and hidden gems specifically, i woudlve been so upset, genuinely heartbroken.
i don’t only read BLs, but even so, it’s hard to find good bls, because the good ones are always hidden and not that popular. so...... reply
To be clear this isn't at OP, but only on mangago will people genuinely go “oh you lost four years of something you spent a significant amount of time on? What was it? Oh yaoi? Yaoi??? Seriously that shit? Go see a psychiatrist cause clearly there's something wrong with you. You're over it? Nah there must be some lingering effects.”
