I need an advice

Malak Malak 2026-08-26 00:07:31 About question
My mother's aunt, a woman who was abused by her husband throughout her life and was never allowed to leave the house, passed away today. Living in an Arab society has always taught me that no one is alone, but not today. Because when she was sent to the hospital this morning, everyone prayed for her death because "her life is miserable"—her children, her siblings... everyone did. In her untire like nobody talked , nobody helped , because "he's a man " , that's what i heard since i was child, women here are supposed to be in fear, when i try to defend them , they hate it , because they were taught that this is what it is like to live here , you will actually get a lot of hate when you act strong because " this is not femininity" , they are obsessed with this shit, they teach their boys that acting like this makes you less , when my brother sits next to me in the car my father says " why are you sitting there, do you think you're a woman?" And of course i have to say "What does this have to do with you being a woman?" I'm getting a lot of hate and i'm called sick all the time for simple things but i can't just shut up, but believe me, i have to , they had enough, and i'm tired, but i can't help it but to get angry, i need help

Your anger and frustration were definitely felt through your post, what you’re going through is absolutely unjust, and on a caliber that I can only imagine.

Living in an environment as woman where extreme misogyny is perpetuated, ingrained, and normalized takes a lot of resilience and bravery to withstand, especially when trying to challenge those ideologies and systems.
I can read through your post that you’re doing the best that you can in such a situation.
Not being able to truly express yourself and being actively shamed when trying to stand up for what you know is right would anger anyone.

As another commenter said, continue to share your experience online, and go out of your way to connect with others who may be going through similar situations. We as people need community and support when going through difficult times in any capacity.
Wherever you may be on Earth, I hope that whatever dreams you have for yourself, you can strive for and realize, while protecting yourself and staying safe. My inbox is always open if you need a person to speak to, you’re very strong, don’t ever lose the virtue that you have. Take care. <3

I think it's just that your family/ environment is toxic, no offense ( ̄∇ ̄"), sure the majority is like that but not everyone, you can also see the complete opposite in the same place. ( ̄へ ̄)

Hi sorry i will speak in french because my english is not good.

the problem is that you're a woman with a free mind in a patriarchal brainwashed society. you have no choice but to shut up and endure as long as you dont find enough women who want freedom and respect like you to act and change mindsets
for now all you can do (and while staying safe) is to spread awareness through social media, you will communicate with normal people whe share the vision of the world you have and it will feel a lot better to let it out even if it's virtually
good luck and stay safe <3

Thank you so much for your words, i understand what you are saying but it's so hard for me not to get angry, whenever i hear " but you're a woman and he's a man" or anything else like this , i get so angry, people around me have such a sick mindset, i can't describe how sick it is , from normalizing that an 8 years old girl will be called a whore because you can see her underwear to wherever you can imagine, but they are still important to me, and i live in the kind of societies where getting cancelled means dieing, so i have to stop hating them and i don't know how, please give me an advice
