i refuse to have this convo specifically on this topic as a basis actually. Capitalism sucks, and people do all sorts of jobs out of desperation. People sell their bodies to their government as soliders, or take on shady job offers abroad to make enough money to live. We can discuss about how governments everywhere are not doing enough to maintain appropriate safety nets for their people. But i genuinely refuse to entertain the idea that we should be actively critical of possibly the safest way for someone to engage in SW, instead of addressing the actual reasons why people would feel forced to engage in it.

I think you and I both know and understand that poverty, lack of opportunities and inadequate social safety nets are what pushes most people to do these jobs, and Im assuming both me and you are fighting against it, I also see what you're trying to say in a way, like you want the root of the problem to be talked about more and I still agree with that, but I just genuinely don't see why we cant actively criticise the ethics of such companies and corporations because exploitation, harassment, doxxing, coercion, non-consensual redistribution of content, financial insecurity, or platform power over workers is something that is very prominent in digital SW, the only risk I see it removing is in-person ones and that isn't completely right either because doxxing happens and the stigma that sticks to people who use onlyfans can really affect the mental health of those people
