I did not realise that people in uni are dumb until I started going, i gen thought ppl there would be educated as fuck, nope.
I had this convo with a girl and she said 'my degree im doing is useless cause I wanna get married the moment I graduate, I will never use this degree, I just want marriage and kids, nothing else' another one 'yeah I dont care about the people dying in (places where ppl are suffering) cause it doesn't affect me'

The first one sounds indoctrinated by the "all a woman needs is to rear a family and she'll be the happiest on Earth" rhetoric. The second is the manifestation of priviledge. I don't think is smart to think people are dumb just because they don't think the same way you do. Try asking them the reasoning behind their ideology. for example: The girl might just hate the degree she is doing, and decided that the part of her live she already is sure about is the only important one as a way to avoid certain implications.
