spooky season - horror movie recs please

i like the quiet creepy. like there's a thing in the background that gets closer w each blink, or is still and u catch it on the second watch. i like jump scares too but one every 20 minutes lessens the scare. i dislike torture porn. nothing with animals being harmed and no SA please.

i liked the haunting? of? bly manor (or hill house)? i forgot which one i liked. unusual horror is nice. i very very rarely get scared so i'm open to anything in any language.
