Should BL/GL authors show support to pride month!
I recently saw this discussion brought up and I realized not many BL/GL authors show support towards LGBTQ rights or make a post during pride month despite profiting off of the community. I’ve seen some people state that the genre simply fictional, and it doesn’t reflect a person’s real morals. While other people say that more authors should show their stance for the LGBTQ community. What are your thoughts and opinions?
it'd be nice if they did but i also don't really expect them to post about irl LGBTQ+ stuff, especially if they have NOT interacted with ANYONE in the community irl and only know about some surface level stuff for their work.
i'd rather see nothing than see a forced/uneducated/out-of-touch something for the sake of performative activism. reply
