People have an obsession with being niche
It's okay to like popular things, some things get popular BEACUSE they're good, its like if you don't have niche taste in music or fashion or just about anything your gonna be called basic The amount of people I've met that get sad about the fact that, something they're into is getting popular beacuse they want it to stay niche, but that's not the point of doing things at all
I think it's lowk toxic. I've been there and I know this feeling so well because I was like this with Sabrina Carpenter. I've been a fan of her since I was 11 years old and now I'm 23 (ifeelold). It felt like I was discovering something people weren't aware of yet and it made me feel superior in a way. When she got popular I was a little bummed but...... reply
