Love Tropes rewriting
What’s one love trope you wish authors would write differently, and how would you change it?
Personally, I love enemies to lovers, but authors always seem to make it about mafia/yakuza or bullies. I want NORMAL characters who might even have been attracted to each other at first sight, but somehow keep bickering, getting on each other’s nerves, and clashing over everything.
I want to see that tension last for a while before they start falling for each other, not just have them go, “OMG, I might actually be in love with him/her!” after one argument. Like, let them be enemies for a little longer!
What about you guys? Whats trope do you want to change about?
lol I actually have the complete opposite view on enemies to lovers trope XD no hate, just found it funny how people interpret things differently!
what OP describes in their post I would actually call rivals to lovers, not enemies to lovers. To me personally you're not enemies if you haven't tried to kill each other at least once! so I actually wi...... 2 reply
