Love Tropes rewriting
What’s one love trope you wish authors would write differently, and how would you change it?
Personally, I love enemies to lovers, but authors always seem to make it about mafia/yakuza or bullies. I want NORMAL characters who might even have been attracted to each other at first sight, but somehow keep bickering, getting on each other’s nerves, and clashing over everything.
I want to see that tension last for a while before they start falling for each other, not just have them go, “OMG, I might actually be in love with him/her!” after one argument. Like, let them be enemies for a little longer!
What about you guys? Whats trope do you want to change about?
1. LOVE TRIANGLES !!! The concept of it is actually so peak but authors never write it properly because we can always guess who mc is going to choose from the very beginning of the story and there is no suspense whatsoever. I want to read one where mc genuinely likes both options, even sincerely considering dating both, where there is equal tension...... 2 reply
