Love Tropes rewriting
What’s one love trope you wish authors would write differently, and how would you change it?
Personally, I love enemies to lovers, but authors always seem to make it about mafia/yakuza or bullies. I want NORMAL characters who might even have been attracted to each other at first sight, but somehow keep bickering, getting on each other’s nerves, and clashing over everything.
I want to see that tension last for a while before they start falling for each other, not just have them go, “OMG, I might actually be in love with him/her!” after one argument. Like, let them be enemies for a little longer!
What about you guys? Whats trope do you want to change about?
I love enemies to lovers too. I would love to see it taken in multiple different directions including your suggestion. I would like to see a couple that keeps fighting after getting together struggle with the stress mixed in with their attraction, I want to see more crazy x crazy where theyre out to kill each other at first and love the thrill.
