Love Tropes rewriting
What’s one love trope you wish authors would write differently, and how would you change it?
Personally, I love enemies to lovers, but authors always seem to make it about mafia/yakuza or bullies. I want NORMAL characters who might even have been attracted to each other at first sight, but somehow keep bickering, getting on each other’s nerves, and clashing over everything.
I want to see that tension last for a while before they start falling for each other, not just have them go, “OMG, I might actually be in love with him/her!” after one argument. Like, let them be enemies for a little longer!
What about you guys? Whats trope do you want to change about?
i wish authors showed more sides of mutual co dependency, or trauma bonding by not glorifying their trauma rather showing side effects of it and how both try to overcome to best of their abilities.... slowly realising how to love themselves and their other half without chaining each other down reply
