How's your experience being in the closet?

So I'm bi, and nobody knows except 2 or 3 ppl (one of them which I told on an impulse..). My friends at school are presumably homophobic (given that we do live in a non-lgbtq friendly country) and that they do seem to talk negatively about the community in general (sometimes they seem okay with it???). So it just feels like kinda awkward because the person they're talking bad about is right infront of them.
