is it ok to hate your parents?
i've resented my parents since i was 5. they cooped me up in the house after i went home by myself and would ignore me whenever i initiated a conversation. i have never had a good conversation that didn't involve them preaching about religion and god. every time i committed a 'sin', they'd beat me and blame it on my personal interests while preaching about how my sins will lead them to hell. they always use family as an excuse for the abuse i got from them and my brother. i'm usually very indifferent to religion, but my parents have caused me to hate god, and for no reason.
my sisters always tell me not to hate them or get mad at them, and every time they do, i feel like an asshole for being so ungrateful.

It depends on what you consider being ok. It will hurt you, so it is not really ok, but yes, you have got the right to hate whoever you need. Don't deny your feelings, they are there for a reason.
