I'm trying to learn how to sew, anything y'all recommend I should do? Like should I learn hand sewing first or should I buy/borrow (I heard my uncle has two, idk if he and my aunt still uses them) a decent sewing machine and start learning from there? Please give me tips I'm desperate and nobody in my family knows how to sew proper garments which is what I'm aiming for. I know it's still gonna be a long way before I'm able to it but I don't even know where to start man.

My little brother just got sick after he failed BADLY on his exams. While on the dinner table on a call with my other aunt from a different city (my brother is in his and my ma's room) my aunt said in reply when my other aunt asked if he was sick and thats why he failed: "He wasn't sick before he left home he failed just because he couldn't do it". My brother's room is near the kitchen so I was worried he'd hear and feel worse and I replied right away "Please stop, he might hear and feel worse. You listen to the mass everyday yet you have no empathy?" she went silent and followed up with "It's hard being a student."

SHE'S NOT ALWAYS BAD BUT UGH THAT FELT SO GOOD. She always taunts and worsens the fire in every issue and situation without receiving any consequences so yeah. Just thought I'd share my little achievement.

Why is it that when something gets popular people act like it's the origin and paragon of the trope it contains? It's so annoying. Then when they see an unrelated post about the same trope that's about another story, they compare those two together it sm to the point as if they're making it seem like every story that involves that trope should follow the flow and example of said popular story. I know people have their own opinions and stuff, and believe me when I tell you I've been trying to mind my business for so long but I just can't anymore. I'm so sick of people just comparing unrelated characters to one another saying shit like "oMg pOpUlAr ChArActEr bEcAmE tHis ChaRacTer BecaUse He gOt tiRed oF plaYing iNsErt SpoRT/ DOinG inSert hObBy/joB lOLloL", talking down on one just because the other is more popular, saying this story copied this from that story when just some basic ass fucking trope, harassing other people just because they don't have the same opinion/ don't like the story they like/ like a ship they don't like etc. People never know basic respect and limits, they can never read the room, they're always holed up in that little world of theirs inside their brains forgetting that other people WILL have different opinions, WILL have different tastes, there WILL always be stories with similar tropes/plots/flow whether its intentional or unintentional, and there WILL be people who'll get annoyed by your actions, you're not the only one who has emotions, prepared to get bit back when you keep agitating, taunting and talking down on others and the things they like. They don't realize the world doesn't revolve around them. You're not that special. You're just a normal, average citizen among a billion people.

The way you act is not healthy nor is it okay. You're the one who needs help. YOU'RE the one who needs to hear "Relax, its not that deep.", not the person you just harassed for hours until they eventually proved you wrong and you decide to backtrack bc you know you're losing the argument but you don't want to just apologize and admit your wrongs.

Assignments I have currently: fully colored 30 paged comic book, an illustrated short story with cover page and guide questions, robotics history from 1500s-2010s, illustration portraying the piece Claire De Luna as you see it with a 1-2 paragraph explanation, a science group presentation with a jingle

All due tomorrow btw. All of these were just given today except the comic book which was given to us 3 days ago (all artists know it's fucking impossible to finish 30 pages of a fully colored comic in such a short period of time)

Personally, mine is a story where the two people chasing/pining after someone gradually fall for each other instead and end up together (I've only seen one and it wasn't even that well made) or a crazy x crazier BL or GL that's a bit light hearted instead of a fully fucked up tragedy/psychological type story.

It's a bit long but please bear with me, I just have to get this out of my chest because I'm starting to actually get worried.

So me and a friend of mine I met in the cos com from another city decided on April 1 to set each other as our 'in a relationship' on Facebook (in my cos acc). Everyone started believing it and we found it funny. I was gonna call it quits after like a week but then she suggested we do it for a month then say it was a prank. I agreed because why not? It was just a joke. Then people started taking it way too seriously and I mean DM-ing me and @ us in our GCs to confirm. I just brushed/dodged all of them off because it'll end soon anyways. Then the other day, she says that she was dmed by her friend that another girl who likes her was crying (this girl was also a friend of that friend). It wasn't as serious at the time but then I guess some stuff happened and it became more serious because the girl was seriously heartbroken and was in the same circle as my friend so I had to think of a way out of this because we can't call it a 'prank' anymore because she said she'll 'lose her friends'. Just 2 days ago I had to have a serious talk with my other close friend (who's friends with all the people mentioned above) and pretend like we're actually in a relationship. I explained to him that our relationship was just out of a whim and it wasn't that serious so he shouldn't be surprised if we do break up soon because me and that girl mutually know that we'd do it sooner or later. I downplayed that whole incident in my previous sentence because honestly in reality I was talking to him for like 5hrs. He was convinced, but he really likes our relationship so I feel like shit because I don't want him to. Additional knowledge, he was the one who was shipping the girl and my friend together, he also apologized to me because he might have been the cause for the development of that girl's feelings. Anyways after I told my friend that, she was relieved and told me we should extend our 'dating trial' to 2 months. Honestly I didn't want to but she made it hard for me to refuse by saying 'it would look suspicious' if we called it off after just 1month.

In my opinion there was no need for the extension and now I'm stuck in this fake relationship. She's been acting as if we're actually in a relationship recently too, heck even before all of this blew up she was already acting as if we're serious (I told her to just joke about it or dodge questions) so people believed it even more. She honestly made this whole thing complicated for me when I just wanted to prank people for like a week and call it off. Now people think this is my 'first relationship' when it's not. Now I'm going to have to deal with how to solve everything including the aftermath when all the problems came from her side. I guess I'm just frustrated with how careless she handled things when she knew people were already believing us but she made it even harder to call this all off as a prank by telling them a whole ass story about it and making it look like we're in a serious relationship. If she just followed the original plan we could've come clean easily but now look at what happened. People are even questioning my sexual preference because of it and I hate it. I'm stuck in a relationship I don't want just because my friend fucked things up on her side. I'm seriously going to play this whole shit off after this because I don't want anyone to think this was a serious relationship to begin with.
