I don't think it's wrong to have rape in a story. What is wrong is authors using rape to make the victim "realize their feelings" for the abuser or describing non-con as something normal in a relationship. I think it's bad because it's used to describe fictional characters in Yaoi. And yaoi convey a lot of stereotypes. Gay people irl don't wanna be associated with something that reductive. Like you reduce them to their position in bed in their relationship and that's kinda offensive.   reply
