My first anime was Sailor Moon (I don't remember the anime much though since I have only started kindergarten at the time, so... yeah) and my first manga was... Detective Conan, I think...? Or Doraemon, I don't really remember which one it is, but it's definitely one of these two. ...Why do I suddenly feel old somehow... LOL.   reply

I am also okay with pretty much any theme/genre, even hardcore bdsm and incest, but... yeah, I too have some things I just can't handle in yaoi (or manga in general really), like, when the seme or uke look like... young kids or... extremely girly (That's just weird in so many ways), daddy kink (Used to be okay with it but after awhile... nah), trip......   1 reply

I met them via school or work. It's hard to find people who like the anime/manga and such. When we were in school, our ship wars never got us thrown out the building, but we were warned to cool it down. My coworkers and I just tease each other with ships the other doesn't like. It's fun. Water. Okay, i know this is dumb, but i just am. When i shower i can't have the curtain closed even though it's clear. Washing my hands and bruising my teeth aren't so bad, but i have to do it quickly or I panic. I know, seriously stupid. Pools, lakes, and beaches are out of the question.   reply

I remember feeling like I just committed a grave sin (⊙…⊙ ). A part of me was like, stop reading, get the fuck out of there, this is not right, I'm still too young for this, holy macaroon, I shouldn't be doing this, but then a bigger part of me just wanted to keep reading because YOLO (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜, I've already come this far, I might as ......   reply

I think I was about 13 when I read my first yaoi ._. At the time, I have just started reading fanfictions online and still didn't know the existence of yaoi (I was still really innocent at the time lol). I was looking through 'the most popular stories' on this one fanfic site called 'asianfanfics' and coincidentally found a story with the tag 'yaoi......   reply

Unfortunately I do not have a true otaku friend. Most of my friends are into kDrama and Kpop (as I am too) but we don't have the same interest in anime or manga. As yaoi in general, I have one. He's a fudanshi. We send each other hot yaoi pictures once in a while.   reply

about nicknames
I have two first names but I like it when people just call me by the second one which is Jade~ But in my cosplay group (which was my main group of friends), to make everyone's names cuter, they added "-y"s at the end so I was always called Jadey by them~ my family eventually called me that too (my friends practically lived at my house!) so even aft......   reply

I've never really had a nickname. Though, recently in my Japanese class, my sensei nicknamed me Aki-chan. Now my friends from my class call me that too. It's a direct translation of my name though, so it's not quite a nickname...   reply

Sometimes incest gets me. There are a few exceptions to the rule, but for the most part, it freaks me out... Also, I hate when there's rape and the uke forgives the seme almost immediately. There are a few cases where the rape was necessary for the uke to discover his feelings, but for the most part, the forgiveness and 'love' seem forced... Pedoph......   reply

I can't stand gangrape/mobrape. I can tolerate it (rape) if it's just between the uke and seme, but when that ass is forced open to multiple dudes, I'm done with the manga. I also can't stand prostitution themed. I just don't like it, the thought of someone selling their body because they have no choice makes me uncomfortable. If I see any yaoi man......   reply

I tend to decide what to read based on the art first, but I also go for the reviews and the tags (no incest, thank you very mucho). I do that because I am very sensitive when it comes to art, however, I have read Yaoi that had mediocre artwork but I still continued reading it because I was enjoying the plot. It has also happened that I would be rea......   reply

I usually draw lines on paper, but... ... Now seriously: *clears throat* ( ̄へ ̄) I practically despise rape on Yaoi (and it's used sooo much), but I confess I have read some actually good stories that unfortunately involved that theme, however, rape that involves Shota characters is a big, fat NOPE.   reply

I wish I could be called something cool like "Ace" or even just "Em" would be nice, but the only semi-nickname I have is "Locklock" which sprouted from my friend messing up my very simple last name. There was one day when we just went around our group and were like "yeah we're stuck with these nicknames", my friends' being things like "Frederick"(H......   reply

Of course! It's called introversion. I mainly feel out of place with people my age or younger. Weird? I was bullied in school and after graduating I went right into the working world (I'm in my early twenties). The people I met were all older by 6+ years and I got used to talking to them. I don't think I'm particularly mature, I just forgot what pe......   reply

My family calls me names related to being the youngest, so "baby", "little girl", "princess" and else, they sound cuter in my language. My dad and brother love to call me names. The one which has stayed the longest is "cheeks" (mine are big and round). My dad gives his children (all adults, BTW) all sort of nicknames, so he calls me peck (kiss) ......   reply

My nickname is Doris. The funny thing is it has absolutely nothing to do with my name or my looks! I can't even explain how I got it, because I would like to know as well. ( ̄∇ ̄") Some friends just startet calling me that a few years ago and now it's become pretty much my name. What's even weirder is that a lot of people start randomly calli......   reply
