Cardcaptor Sakura was the anime that pulled me into this world. I hadn't known about anime until the tv stopped playing it and I had to look for it in the internet. Otherwise Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh. My first manga was Naruto. reply
First anime is Dragonball of course.. It was always on TV. I also watched a lot of Sailor Moon, Rurouni Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho ETC on TV.

My absolute supernatural BL fave is without a doubt Vassalord. It's amazing, check it out ;D The next in line would be Roureville. ... Mamoru Chiba from Sailor Moon. I was five when it first aired here, and the whole caped crusader/future doctor/destined soulmate thing is pretty hard to beat. His car and motorbike don't hurt either, though I could do without the fashion sense.

For my answer, you gotta go old school. Does anyone here know Star Blazers? My first anime and I was utterly enchanted. It was beautiful. I can still sing parts of the opening song.
